Happy Saint Patrick's Day!

When it comes to making green food for St. Patrick's Day, it's easy for things to go wrong. Sometimes emerald eats turn out looking unappetizing, or you use drops to add color without adding anything really special to otherwise ordinary food. That's why I like something that combines a hint of green with a bit of flavor, like the mint chips in these just-green-enough brownies by dessert genius Bakerella.

These Dark Chocolate Mint Chip Brownies remind me of when I used to wear a hint of green to grade school in order to avoid being pinched on St. Patty's Day. Sometimes a little is just the right amount.
