Quilted Card Creations

Many thanks to my friend Morgan for this lovely post today! Inspired by this tutorial from Dana Made It, Morgan sat down at her sewing machine to make quilt-inspired Easter cards.

A few words from Morgan about her process:

"I didn't like the way the stitches showed on the inside of Dana's card so I made a quarter-fold card instead. The cards are made out of 8.5"x11" white card stock. I used a quarter-fold card template from Publisher and printed "Happy Easter" on the inside. I then folded the cards to figure out the parameters for the front of the card, sewed on the fabric and pinked the edges. I sewed on the bow with regular stitches but decided to zigzag the heart because it was too hard to sew around with regular stitches. Then I folded the card to cover the stitches."

Thanks, Morgan! With the right fabric this card can work for any holiday or occasion. Got a successful project of your own? Send pictures to hostess@host-itnotes.com and I'd love to consider it for a post!
