Real Party Inspiration: Cute As A Button

Host-It Notes reader and friend, Laura, threw a fabulous baby shower for her expecting friend Jenn this month. The shower was held at Jeni's Ice Creams—Jeni's uses cream from pasture-raised cows (no antibiotics, growth hormones, or pesticides), and uses locally grown ingredients fresh from Ohio farmers. Delish!

A Note from Laura: "Thanks to inspiration from your blog, I threw a 'Cute as a Button' baby shower in Columbus, Ohio! After reading your entry 'Party Inspirations: Buttons' I used your idea for the theme and also decided to package the shortbread button cookies as favors (with a copy of the recipe attached). Then, after reading 'Valentine's Day Inspiration: Martha Stewart,' I decided to make button-tied invitations. You also introduced me to Kara's Party Ideas where I found the idea for the button-embellished table runner from her button themed bridal party. I rounded out the theme by making buttons for guests to wear and by playing bingo with buttons. Combining everything at a local ice cream parlor—complete with milk bottle chandelier—made the event a success!"

Congrats to the mother-to-be! And thanks for sharing your terrific party with us, Laura! (I love the onesie you made above!)
