I adore Mollie Johanson's blog, Wild Olive. Mollie makes fantastic embroidery patterns, some of which she offers for free (!) on her blog. Last week she recruited Cate Anevski to contribute. Cate whipped up a pretty printable elf house for the holidays—just print and assemble. I like this because not only is it adorable in its own right (print, fold, and hang it from thread for an instant ornament!), but you can also use her layout as a template for your own hand-drawn creations. Try tracing the shape but decorating it as a gingerbread house, then fold according to Cate's instructions. Now that's super cute and a fun project for kids.
