I'm away on a fun little vacation in LA this week, and while strolling through the neighborhood near Venice Beach I stumbled across my idea of heaven in retail form. It's a fabulous store called Bountiful, and has the best store displays I've ever seen—mainly because they use stacks and stacks of drop dead gorgeous cake stands.
All of their cake stands are either genuine vintage and antique or made using original materials and molds by classic manufacturers. The whole store is jaw-droppingly pretty and full of more than just cake stands. They have vintage glassware, signs, decor, furniture, chandeliers, fabrics, and bric-a-brac. It's an absolute must if you're in the area. Just be sure to budget in a big chunk of change to spend! The good stuff doesn't come cheap.

How much did the cake stands that you looked at cost? I've been thinking about going there to buy some stuff for my wedding, but I've heard it's so overpriced :(
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your upcoming wedding! If it's close by, you should go there for inspiration at least—it's a gorgeous store! Cake stands were quite pricey—I'd say $40+ for the smallest 6 inch stands. Most seemed like they were $80-$100 or higher. Good luck in your search, and if you find any great new cake stands, please share the link!
ReplyDeleteJust thought you should know that the real Cake Stand Heaven is alive and open for business. http://www.cakestandheaven.com
